… a technology manager by education

In 2015 I graduated from Technical University Munich (TUM) with a Master of Science in Management and Technology. In engineering I focused on mechanical engineering and product development. On the management side I focused on innovation and entrepreneurship as well as on finance. In internships with Volkswagen AG, BMW AG and Commerzbank AG I applied and evolved my skill set.

… a management consultant by apprenticeship

After concluding my studies, I worked for almost two years in Management Consulting with Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations division. I learned how to execute digital projects, solved various quantitatively driven topics and worked for international clients on global projects. Beyond, I acquired various consultanting skills such as presentation skills, attention to detail or performing under pressure.

… a data scientist at heart

In the end of 2016 I decided to chase my dream of steering my career into a more technology-oriented direction. I took a sabbatical in order to learn coding. To achieve this goal I completed Udacity’s self-driving car engineer and deep learning program applying topics such as deep learning, machine learning and computer vision hands on. Currently I am working within Allianz Group as a data scientist with a focus on process mining living my dream as a data scientist.

wolfplot - a plotting library

Project summary

I created a plotting library as high-level plotting framework built on top of matplotlib. wolfplot enables convenient plotting of bar-, hbar-, histogram-, line-, scatter- and boxplots in highly customized layouts. My current company and me are using wolfplot in production in our data science projects.

Vehicle detection and tracking

Project summary

I created a vehicle detection and tracking pipeline with OpenCV, histogram of oriented gradients (HOG), and support vector machines (SVM). Optimized and evaluated the model on video data from a automotive camera taken during highway driving.

Lane finding

Project summary

I built an advanced lane-finding algorithm using distortion correction, image rectification, color transforms, and gradient thresholding. Identified lane curvature and vehicle displacement. Overcame environmental challenges such as shadows and pavement changes.
